But after a while when the cortcal function takes over, when reasoning gets the better of impulsive behaviour, conscience kicks in, then you wonder.

necessary?, especially when manipal without marena has nothing less to offer ..oh yea the squash courts, high class gym facilities, world class badminton courts, sauna, steam bath... blah blah etc...
people i guess would have taken memebership at valley view if they wanted to have such recreational activities esp the last two.
coming to the badminton courts, they had two of them they could have added two more, gym...dude we all would have preffered if they improved the already existing gyms at various hostels, squash courts ...yea..thts a new thing...but they could hhave constructed a much smaller structure!
I am not even getting into deep commentary about cricket practice nets, tennis etc....coz we have a cricket ground, tennis courts, football ground etc ..already...and they r pretty decent!
why then this squandering of wealth on already existing facilties?
people may argue why build such a big library then...., guys this is not a sports village...it is an educational village with facilities enough to cater to almost all the sporty needs of its students, infact they could have provided bigger budgets on the accesories required for various sports, the uniform for various students representing their college...much much more... not marena!
others may argue the staff may need it, they deserve it, esp to all those longstanding,loyal to "pai family" staff,,, but guys they still have to pay whtver be the amount. am sure they would have been much more satisfied with an increase in pay, they might have started working mre efficiently then rather than MU taking another route on increasing their effieciency{physical health for better mental health.... bull shit...esp.in the context of manipal}
there are more important issues concerning the residents of manipal than having a glamourous sports and exercise and recreational facility!
for example... Please build the road to end point !!!! :)... many more... schemes for poor patients who cant afford basic and advanced health care (i am sure u wouldnt mind ur fee money going into that than this...again i may have opposition on this statement but trust me ur whole clinics experiance would improve)
not being over critical, love manipal, cant see its founder family and the administration squander the wealth of people who constitute it, i.e the students... over a POINTLESS FACILITY!!!
NO IT DOESNT IMPROVE THE IMAGE OF MANIPAL!!! THERE ARE MANY OTHER WAYS OF ACHIEVING THAT!
